The COPE project aims to support earthquake-affected families by implementing longer-term livelihood, child protection, and education activities to complement short-term life-saving efforts. The project duration is from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023, with 1,670 individuals expected to benefit. The project includes several activities such as the rehabilitation of damaged schools, provision of remedial classes and national exam support, small business management and specialized training, distribution of livelihood grants, distribution of food parcels and ready-to-eat meals, and provision of hygiene and winterization non-food items to affected families. The project will be implemented in Aleppo, Hama, Homs, Latakia, and Rural Damascus, and is funded by DANIDA/ADRA Denmark.
