The Response across Integrated Sectors in Emergencies (RISE) project forms one of ADRA’s responses to the 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck northern Syria in 2023. Working in the regions of Lattakia and Aleppo, RISE’s goals are to rehabilitate two damaged schools, distribute over 3,500 school kits, provide hygiene and menstrual hygiene promotion sessions to schoolchildren of the rehabilitated schools, award cash grants for minor shelter repairs and distribute vouchers for purchasing things to keep people warm during the winter, benefiting 6,850 people. The project is being implemented from December 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024 and is funded by the humanitarian organization Plan International.
